ArtWOOD wood-plastic composite (WPC )

ARTWOOD WOOD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE (WPC)

ArtWOOD is a new wood-plastic composite (WPC), developed recently by Art Plast and introduced to series production. ArtWOOD pellets are produced out of polypropylene (PP) combined with wood fibers (WF) from 20% to 65%. More grades of ArtWOOD WPC based on LDPE, HDPE, HIPS are currently under development.

PROCESSING

ArtWOOD can be processed by both injection molding and extrusion (extrusion compounds available soon). ArtWOOD is injected as standard plastic compound, the only limitation is processing temperature, which should be kept under 200°C. ArtWOOD pellets should be dried before processing.

ADVANTAGES OF ArtWOOD

  • aesthetic, wood-like surface
  • easy processing (non-dusting granulate)
  • high load resistance
  • high rigidity
  • high abrasion resistance
  • resistance to moisture
  • resistance to rot and corrosion
  • resistance to UV radiation (UV version)
  • easily colored in mass (also right colors)
  • environmentally friendly, non-toxic product
  • easy machining (like wood)
  • does not contain PVC
  • 100% recyclable
  • recommended for flooring in high traffic areas

APPLICATION

INJECTION:

  • flower pots
  • clothes hangers
  • garden fences
  • garden anchores
  • handles, decorative elements,
  • garden furnitures (chairs, tables)
  • other items produced by injection molding

EXTRUSION:

  • decking boards
  • planks / fencing rails
  • wall panels
  • poles
  • trim strips
  • wide boards
  • other items produced by extrusion process
